The purpose of this guide is to provide support to Borrowers and Recipients of IFAD funding and other implementing partners in understanding the requirements of the IFAD policy. It provides information on their legal obligations to prevent and report incidents of sexual misconduct that may occur during the implementation of a project funded by IFAD. It also informs of IFAD’s victim centered approach and reiterate the expectation that implementing partners promote a no tolerance approach. Finally, the guide provides information on legal and financial consequences of failure by implementing partners to abide by their legal obligations with respect to prevention and response to sexual misconduct.
