Conduct in UN Fields Missions Focal Point

The UN Charter requires all personnel to uphold the highest standards of integrity and conduct. Over 100,000 civilian, military, and police personnel currently serve in peacekeeping operations and special political missions worldwide.
The UN Standards of Conduct apply to all mission personnel. The approach to addressing misconduct is based on three pillars: prevention, enforcement, and remedial action. The UN works closely with Member States to ensure accountability for all personnel serving in the field.
