Body
This training helps colleagues contribute to a respectful and inclusive environment by encouraging that everyone makes an effort to understand and listen to each other, and find a way to work well together.
It explains that as a general rule, if the behaviour feels uncomfortable and unpleasant, then it probably is at the very least inappropriate and shouldn’t be happening.
Further, that depending on the type of conduct, its impact, how it is delivered and the frequency, it can rise to the level of abusive conduct. It also explains that when not addressed, inappropriate conduct can also escalate into abusive conduct.
It encourages colleagues to speak up! as soon as possible whether the behaviour is inappropriate or abusive.
