Electric mobility is not a silver bullet, automatically improving the situation of women in transportation. Yet, the transition from conventionally-fuelled vehicles to electric vehicles, if carefully and proactively thought, offers significant opportunities to increase the representation and involvement of women in transport provision.  

The introduction of new vehicles, operational models, business models, new stakeholders can offer the potential to specifically address the needs of women and facilitate their participation in the transition.
